Default Trying to compete with Andrew...

We all know it's impossible to compete with Andrew since his car is always spotless, but I thought I'd give it a try. The results of my spring cleaning on the Crossfire...

Nice, how long did it take on the exhaust tips?

Not too long, I clean them every few days when I wash it and then once a month or so I use Eagle Never Dull on them...I love that stuff, it cleans and polishes really well.

Yeah, I was just getting ready to post something on the Eagle Never Dull wadding polish. It works really good on chrome.

Car looks good man. I spent a few days week before last washing/waxing/polishing mine in the garage. Maybe if the snow ever melts, I can pull it outside and take pics.

Good job.

Nice job...unless you have a black car, it is hard to realize how hard it is to make it look like yours. While a clean, well groomed black car looks fantastic, every little scratch, swirl and imperfection is magnified. Congrats.

Looking at the front, did you apply my "New Look for Less" mod on the grill? It really blends in well.

Actually that's still the factory finished grill...I'm thinking about doing your mod though, I love the look.

WOW,
Looks great! Did you use anything for swirls or scratches? When I bought mine it was riddled with them. I think you did better than I did on mine!

I've polished mine in the past with a random orbital buffer, but usually (including this time) I just applied a coat of Meguiars Show Car Glaze Polish and then a coat of Meguiars NXT wax.

Nice job. I had two black PT's and I know only too well how hard it is to keep black paint looking like that. Now how about the underside of your car? As I remember Andrew cleans that too.

I clean the undercarriage from the muffler back but the rest just gets a pressure wash from the carwash.

OK, if this is going to be a competition, then we need to establish some rules of engagement, and make sure we have a level playing field.
First, keeping a white car spotless in Ohio during March is alot different than maintaining a black car in Sunny Florida at the same time.
That being said, how much do we handicap Andrew for having a white car, and how much do we handicap Blacklimitedcoupe for living where there is no salt and snow.
Personally, I think there's nothing classier than a black car when it's clean. But when are they ever clean?
I owned a black on black '94 Z-28 once, by the time I finished wiping off the last water spot, I usually had to go back to the top and start working on the new dust that settled.
Like Andrew said, never again. I just don't have the energy anymore. But I'm glad some of you do.

HAHA! I think the snow and salt deserves more of a handicap than the black paint. But that gave me a good laugh.
