Crossfire Gets VIP Parking
Sunday we had a wedding, we pulled up in front of the place the valet opened my door and says i have a spot for you in front. Then tells me no ticket needed, just ask for Phil. My brother-in-law has a Lexus he was behind me the valet hands him a ticket, so he asked me why didn't you get a ticket? when i told him he couldn't believe that a Chrysler gets vip parking and his Lexus didn't.

yea nothing wrong with a chrysler getting vip over lexus... i myself am a lexus owner and can tell you those cars are nothing special at all... besides they have designs which impress no one...
I showed this photo before, but when I went to a conference in Maine last Summer, this is where they parked my car the whole week I was there - the corvettes, lexi and mercedes mostly were parked off-site at a satellite lot...
Hehe...gotta love that, they know good eye candy when they see it!
It's such a gorgeous vehicle...I forget sometimes...then i get a reminder:
Was traveling to work this morning, from Maryland to Virginia, traffic on the DC Beltway was, well, i coulda walked faster...so i went the long way round to Virginia. Driving down a nice winding road, with no one on it and a Silver Ltd. Coupe comes from the opposite direction. Because of the elevation changes and curves i had clear view of him for about 1/4 mile as he approached in the same casual drive mode that i was in. It's an impressive view and just renewed my appreciation for the styling. I'm embarrassed to say i checked out the rear view too as it went by.

I talked about this phenomenon in my -
"police, old men, priests, and children, housewives" thread.
Doesn't matter who or where at least twice a day I get people walking up to me asking me questions about my car. I've owned many sports cars in my almost 40 years and nothing, NOTHING comes close to the attention the crossfire gets.

Here down in H'town in the last week my roadster has got a lot of attention. Last Thursday at a Restaurant/ Bar valet said no ticket needed and parked me right up front. Got some points from the date on that one.
The weekend at a new trendy wine bar the valet pulled me practically up to the front door. As people were entering/exiting couldn't help but notice the looks and finger pointing it was getting.
Last night at Cirque de Soleil was ready to park with everybody else and a guy waves me over to a space reserved for the special ticket holders that pd an extra $75 to hobnob with the performers before the show. He asked me if I had one of those special tickets. After I said no, he commented, "hey man, with a car like that you deserve to park here". So I did.
Sweet !!!
