Default Crossfire vs SLK 320 Parts

How much of the Crossfire is the same as the SLK 320? I believe the SLK 320 was around for about 4 years. I understand the engine and transmission are the same...but what other components are the same?

For the Crossfire Roadster...its only build history is 1...maybe 2 years...so I'm asking the question in reference for future parts availability.

I was told that they are suppose to keep parts around for 10 years...but does that hold for cars with a 1 year production run?

Suspension? Front end?...Rear end?
Brakes?
Air Conditioner
Steering?
ETC...

Thanks... Ben

shared parts...

engine, trans/drivetrain, full suspension, brakes components, steering rack...

basically a different body/shell on an slk chassis.

I would get one from a 2002 slk320, the Chrysler parts are aesthetic.

Here is what I do when I need parts from the dealer. I go on Ebay and find a SLK320 and write down the VIN number and give that to the parts guy at the MB dealership. The MB parts guys usually will want a VIN number to look things up. Just about anythjing that can go wrong with a Crossfire uses the SLK320 parts. Or you can suffer at a Chrysler dealership and pay more for a part that has a Sticker with a Chrysler part number stuck over the MB part number.

Isn't the rear suspension from a C Class or am I mistaken? Not sure.

Great idea on the SLK VIN. I like that. Whatever works. LOL.

Really? I'd hate to think that their seats are as uncomfortable as ours after a few hours. I had been thinking of replacing mine with something that has more support - Any ideas?
