Default Shipping from Belgium

  1. I recently took advantage of an Chrysler executive lease program and ordered a 2007 silver limited coupe. These cars are located in Belgium awaiting shipment. I placed my order on 4 April and have not received any information reference shipment. Any one familiar with this lease program.

No idea about this. Please tell us how it works, who's eligible, etc. Thanks.

Howard - I'm a retired Daimler-Chrysler executive and have lease car rights for the remainder of my life. Apparently we had approximately 1,800 unsold Crossfires located in storage in Belgium. These were reportedly 2007 models, and were available at a much reduced rate. My 2007 Silver, limited coupe will cost $230 a month for a 'one year lease'. At the end of the lease I'm sure purchase is also available, hopefully at a much reduced price. My basic question was any information on when these cars would be shipped to the USA.

EJ

Since I retired from Chrysler, either fortunately or unfortunately, I'm out of the Chrysler loop, however the last information I received was Karmann was running production until this summer. I will try and verify that information.

I know another Chrysler employee who is in the same boat (pardon the pun), and also waiting for an '07 to be shipped from Europe. I was under the impression that the port was Bremerhaven, Germany, rather than Belgium.

Tracking info I was given for that car was:

'Booked On Vessel' on 4/19. and
'On Vessel Clean' on 4/25

Not sure exactly what that means, but I would guess it means those cars have been on their way (to Baltimore?) for about a week. My guess is that they won't land for the better part of another two weeks - around mid-May.

Hope this clue helps.

Grey Roadster -

I just received confirmation on the Crossfire shipment from Europe. They are on the Ship Toledo, shipping from Belgium, and will arrive in Baltimore on 20 May. You can inform your friend. Thanks for you help.

James, do you know when you will be able to take delivery of the car? I have also ordered the roadster thru the Chrysler employee car program and have no way of tracking the delivery of the car. Thanks.

I'm tracking my Crossfire through the shipping companies 'cargo tracking system'. I know my car will arrive at the Port of Baltimore on the 21st. If you don't have that access I will give you my email address and will send you the web site for the shipping company.

indrabk,
Go to the following web site: http://www.2wglobal.com-Go to the caro tracking section. Then go to 'roro' type in your vin number. This information is from Belgium to the Port of Baltimore; from there the cars will be transported through a carrier company to the dealership.
