If she does, ditch her. I'd be put off if some chick said that to me but depending on how old she is she might think you're driving daddy's car to impress her or some line of bull or your parents bought it for you and you're spoiled. I wouldn't even think about it because I've thought of certain things being said or done and what I would do and guess what, those circumstances happened and ended up not in my favor.

Cool the thoughts and have a good time.

If she should ask, just say to her, "I'm compensating for "NOT" being poor".

Tell her you are compensating for being responsible enough to have a good job and not enough bills, if she cant figure that out just drop her back off.

Tell her you only need a small car because your **** is big enough, you don't need an extension.
She'll either shut up, or get busy.

If she asks what you're compensating for, just answer...

"A lack of bad taste and debt..."

Dude, I hope your date goes better than Arcrist's.
If you were driving a Z4 or a Hummer or something - then compensation may be an issue.
A Crossfire suggests that you have style, design-intuition, etc.

With these cars, you should be at 3rd base by the time you hit 3rd gear - (we can hope at least).

Good luck.

Ahhhh, yes...The ol' "And what are we compensating for" line. Hahaha, I believe I was the first to mention it had happened to me when I had my date and unfortunately I got caught waaay off guard with it too. She now knows that I'm not trying to compensate for anything though. LMAO! I do like Spensley's line. Just Look good, be yourself and have confidence! Good luck! Let us know.

I would go with the more abrasive route. Just tell her you're compensating for the ugly girl that is sitting in the passenger seat.

FYI - After this is said, close your eyes and prepare to be slapped.

I have to agree with RPM if you were picking her up in a Z4 or a Hummer then you might get asked, but the Crossfire is a chick car. Yea guys it really is a chick car, but I am secure enough in my manhood to drive the sh*t out of it anyway.

You guys are so great but you really need a girls input on things. First of all, size does matter to a point but it's how you drive it that really makes a difference. Talking about the Xfire of course. On dating, it makes a difference what you wear and how you act to us but not as much as the confidence you have in yourself. If you want this girl, dress however you feel right, be nice if she deserves it, and have fun whatever you do. Don't try to impress her. Would you want to be with someone that wasn't real?

Great advise Fire girl. It's great to get a lady's perspective.
You go girl.

well, i take that back about the automatic. but i wasn't joking about the yellow convertible. the first crossfire i saw after getting my graphite coupe was a yellow convertible. it was driven by a gay dude (no offense to gays, but i'm sort of homophobic - can't help it), so it sort of made me feel like people would think the same about me because i was driving my crossfire - parked at the same place, and i was going into the same building (cingular wireless - i had to get a new cell phone). i got over it though when i noticed how many people (including girls) from the "ricer" crowd admired the graphite coupe. (this was before i knew what my crossfire would do - i had only had it about a week and was afraid i had bought a chick car).

so my conclusion was that it must have been something to do with the yellow convertible. (sorry to single you out if you drive one and you're a dude).
so there's the story - sorry to take up the room romio, but i had to explain my reasoning behind my yellow convertible statement. is the girl you're taking out's name juliet by any means?
