Default Chrysler Executive Lease Program

I ordered my 2007 Silver, Limited Coupe, via the DC executive lease program on 4 April. My car arrived at the port of Baltimore on the 21st and was unloaded on the 22nd. Today is the 6th of June and I have not heard a word. Does anyone know or have the means to track vehicles? My vin# is 1c3ln69l57x070551. It is scheduled to arrive 'sometime' at Tom O'Brien Chrysler in Indy.

James the dealer can track it. I know this for a fact because we tracked my boss' Jeep he ordered back at Christmas. There used to be a phone number you could call every Monday afternoon at DC and they too would give you the status code, I did that with my first PT Cruiser. Can't someone at DC give you info? looks like you work for them?
Good luck - Pat

Pat,
Thanks for the information, I'm a retired DC guy and have lost my contacts but will call company cars.

Thanks again -

Interesting !

OK all you VIN experts, this really is a '07 right ? Look at the last series of digits, 070551...highest I've seen yet. I'm betting total Crossfire production by Karmann will turn out to be in the 80K-85K range by the end of the '07 run.

Any thoughts here ?

10th digit denotes model year. It's a 7 so it is a 2007 model.

Hey James,
I just ran your VIN through Daimler Chrysler Dealer Connect. It is a 2007 model.

last VIN currently registered in Chrysler's recall database is 7X073383. production is scheduled to end during the middle of '07 which means the end is near (but you can still buy 3 v-dubs for under $17,000).

i think we're looking at around 75K total production run.

I hate to say this, but the VIN I ran is showing an In Service Date of October 24th, and a build date of October 13th. This is not a new vehicle. I'm guessing that it may have been a display vehicle? The really strange thing is when I go into warranty information, it say original warranty 42 mo. Unlimited miles. This runs out on April 24th 2010. Weird. The whole thing is weird.

Guy's don't pin this on me, I have no idea why the warranty is 42 months. Its not showing anything as a registered owner. My guess is that it was a show car or display vehicle. But this is the 1st time I've ever seen unlimited miles on a factory warranty.

Tod,
Thanks for the information, but I'm confused. The color silver is a 2007 color and the vin# indicates its a 2007 model.
So are you saying its a 2006 model or its used?

It is showing as a 2007. Its tagged as a 2007. I've been told that it was still hanging out from 2005-2006. But for resale, insurance, being cool, you are the owner of a 2007 vehicle. A very small club that I can see.

Tod,
Thanks very much for all the information, but my current concern is the present location of the vehicle. I was told dealerships have to ability to determine to location of cars during shipment. Do you have that ability and if so would you please track the location of my car. We turned in my wife's Liberty last week and currently I'm on foot.
