Crossfire Chassis / SLK Chassis

There are more parts than engine, chassis and suspension that are MB like the seats, transmission, brakes, ESP, BAS, Dashboard, Center Console, Pedals ... and the list goes on and on.
As for the Mhz on the Coupe yes its very accurate 50.1 Mhz as quoted from the early Chrysler brochure that i have.
Also the Becker stereo in the Crossfire is the identical one that was used in my then new 2000 Porsche Boxster just a different color.

I'm curious now that in all this talk whether or not they share the same chassis if anyone has seen both of them on a lift to visually compare? Sure that article said that the Crossfire uses parts from several MB setups but isn't it possible that the SLK is the same? Check out Renntech's suspension line for both cars (see attached highlighted screen shots). First off the list is identical (with the exception of more springs available for the slk). The prices are the same and the part numbers are right on too. The only difference... a "C" for Chrysler?
I'm not saying either way that the car is entirely an R170 or the combination as that article states, I just want to see for myself.

My family has one of the first SLK's a '98 and yes there are huge similarities but its not identical, plus remember also that the SLK R170 chassis was based on the W202 C-Class and it did share parts with other Benz models.

Read The Sticker! 85% German 0% US Parts. The Crossfire is made in a MB SLK contracted factory & the 3 pointed star is all over the parts. I am guessing here it is a MB. SLK, C or E Class parts Who cares, I love the car.
American Cars Companies have sold the same car and truck with different skin and badges for years with no complaints.

I need to know if the seat mounts on the CrossFire are the same as the R170 SLK. I would like to mount some aftermarket seats, but no one makes mounts for the Crossfire. I can get mounts for the SLK but it would be an awfully expensive experiment. I'm posting here because I can't seem to find this information and the people that posted on this thread seem to know this stuff. Besides posting to a thread that ended in July is as close to time travel as I can get.

GENTLEMEN!! All you have to do is pop the hood on an SLK, open the doors and look inside! The entire engine compartment and motor is the same! The interior gauges, console, doors, seats, etc, are the same! The obvious difference is the body style and the retractable roof, which would help Chrysler sell more xfires! Sorry MB owners, but it's true!

Our car is over twice as stiff a porsche boxer and even stiffer than a 911. Our body the floor especially is Crossfire specific and it is actually consider an engineering marvel. They had an article just about the body and specifically the floor pan construction.
