Default Keeping Exhaust tips clean???

Does anyone use any chemical cleaner on the stock exhaust. I scrub my exhaust (do not spray water directly into or on) with soap and a rag, but there is always some black exhaust spray that will not come clean. I only have 20k miles, I have gotten complements on how clean they are, but I want them to look like new. Anyone recommend any products or have any tips?

OK - I'm no Andrew, but I (and many others, including Andrew - I think) use Eagle One's NEVR DULL wadding polish. It's GREAT.

Check out this thread...

My response was:

A simple way to clean and keep your exhausts tip clean is to use soapy water and "lightly" rub out the black soot
with a SOS/Brillo pad and then dry. There is no need to buy brushes, bug/tar remover or carb cleaner and tape
off the tips.

To polish, use Never-Dull wadding polish as suggested in another post. To maintain the clean look, wipe out the tips
every month or so with a damp rag and spend a few minutes with the wadding polish.

It's an easy 30 minute job to clean them out the first time around, depending on how long you want to spend polishing
the tips. It takes even less time to maintain the look.

I use NevrDull too. It is amazing. The recommendation came from Andrew. I think.

I got tired of polishing mine so I painted the insides with flat black hi-temp paint. The tips are nice and shiny but the centers are uniformly black so I don't feel the need to have to carry Nevr-Dull around in my glove box any more.

Ditto. It also enhances and accentuates the shape of the tips, IMHO.

I like mine the way they are, and very clean and shiny. I clean them about once a month, just to maintain the clean shine.

I spray mine with WD40 and wipe clean. In 10 seconds they look like new.
