So i have disagreed with a lot of you guys about this
But now that I'm getting ready to turn my xfire in, I'm really starting to think about getting an srt-6 (shame on me) because after watching some auto auctions I think this things are going to be worth a lot of money in the future. I think I'm going to try and get a roadster when I graduate from Graduate school. But I realllyyy think its going to be worth a crap load of money.
Ahh, you are wise -
I would hope so. Out of all vehicles made (that you can buy for ~ 30k or less w/low miles), the SRT6 has a lot going for it: Power, limited production, a 'cult' following, etc.
True they are being given away in a sense with the prices today. But if I recall correctly, the Superbirds had a similar history - and look at them today.
Only time will tell though.

You know what, thats the car that made me think this.
And aside from that, now that daimler and chrysler have split, and i believe our car is the first car that was made in the joint venture and is the only chrysler to have a mercedes engine, that the srt 6 could be worth over 100k one day.

besides i think you would have to baby that car if you even have a chance to get it into a "collectible" state. i'd rather track the car and have fun with it... my two cents.
just do it! would be good to have another srt6 at the track. hey so when you planning on going back out???
check my other thread, just got a 240sx. hope i can still chill with you guys though, don't want to leave crossfire buddies behind.
i was about 5 minutes from buying an SRT the other day over the phone and trading in my base, but i got to the dealership and remembered they didn't make them in 6 speed at all and got instantly sick to my stomach. so, now i bought a turbo motor for my 240 track car and i'm still piecing together the parts for the xboost.
if it wasn't auto i would.
i had an s14 kouki with a full SR build, suspension build, origin aero (sponsor).
and now i have a 89 track project i'm putting a CA in.

i bought my friends old CA for real cheap, and he included a complete rebuild gasket set not to mention the front and rear main seals. i also have access to my buddies garage full of CA parts, so i might as well. i plan on selling it as soon as i drive one event with it though and getting another s14 so i can start from rust up on the 14 again. here's a pic of me and my old kouki in action before i turned that front end into a cement wall around 6:30 pm that night.
