I don't think its how much you drive your car, mine has very low miles and its driven every day, even in winter unless there is ice on the road. Its just that you are passionate about your car and if you are here then you are passionate about your car. I think there is a big difference in what my wife was saying and what intensblu, MMZ and others are saying here. She'd look at me a say "road rash" ? So what and by the way who cares if I scuff up my wheels. You guys at least know what it is and you probably feel bad you did it. By the way that's why I don't let her drive it. She hasn't met a curb she doesn't like. I know that doesn't sound quite right but its true! The car in question really looked like it had never been washed, the front wheels were black, baked on. At any rate it was really great to get together with everyone at Carlisle and hope we can get an even bigger crowd next year.

Pat

Yah, I was getting razzed at the show for not letting Michelle drive the "new" Crossfire, but if you saw her car and wheels you wouldn't let her drive a new one for a while either.

The crossfire was initially targeted in 1994 towards car enthusiasts whose annual income is around 150k plus a year. Those that bought their crossfires for 35k for the Limited and 45k for the SRT-6, of course, has a different opinion about this car compared to those that bought it in a giveaway price now including me. (although I acted that way too)!

If you spend that much on a car, you just can't afford to neglect it and leave it outside your garage while your junk stays inside the garage. It's like...if it's a Rolex...would you leave it outside to be hammered by the heat and rain? Yeah, they didn't get it!

Yes, with the price so low now that even a 16 year old high schooler can afford it as their first car, obviously changes the mentality towards this mature car. (Not to ruffle some feathers here). Pimpin' blingin...you name it but it's their car now and they're payin' for it!

And that's when it becomes "it's just a car anyway!". Heck, it's so cheap I can buy 2 of these for my daily ride.

minojo the prices may be dropping but that's not what takes away from a car's panache. The exclusivity, unique styling, and rarity make this car special for enthusiasts... or for some adolescent permit holding teen. IMO we should judge the car for pure performance, style, and quality... and the XFire gets high marks in all of those categories.
