Default Bad Things about the xfire

There is a thread that lists the good things. How about a thread that lists the bad things. Maybe someone will have an idea of how to fix or explain the problem better so we all understand.

Most of the accessory's will not work without the key being in the on position- home-link, power seats, etc., etc.

I know the Homelink doesn't work with both doors closed, but I haven't tried it with one open yet.

You're right RPM, the door has to be open for the seats to work.

I'll have to try my seats with one of the doors open. You would think the home-link would operate with the key off due to safety reasons. Car in garage starting car then pushing home-link button.

i think its smart not have the homelink work w/o the ignition on... eg. if your car was parked outside... one broke in and hit your preprogrammed button... they now have access to your home.

Looking at you options I see you have a chrome windshield surround and chrome vent fins. Could you please tell me where I could find them, how much and ease of installation?

Thank You,
Xtacy

no auto lights!!!
my seat heater didn't work at all and the crappy dealership fixed it and now it burns my rear.
and the cup holder, but I bought it knowing the cupholder sucked... you think they would have done how they did in the merc. slks (above the vents TWO pop out)...
and I think that is all I have to complain about right now.

I RECEIVED SCRATCHED AND MISFORMED ITEMS FROM AUTO EXCLUSIVE, FACTORY REJECTS I SUSPECT, GOT THE "TOO BAD YOU OPENED THEM, YOU OWN THEM" CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE RIP-OFF TREATMENT. ANYWAY, I WISH THE SPOILER WOULD REMAIN DEPLOYED UNTIL YOU STOP, DURING AGGRESSIVE CORNERING I COULD REALLY USE THE EXTRA DOWNFORCE AND DON'T NEED IT FOLDING WHEN I'M ENTERING A CORNER.

Sorry to hear about that. I got the side "vent" covers and they look great.
You can keep the wing up by putting it up yourself with the switch.

I really think the horn should work without the key being turned on.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned the great service you can expect from most Chrysler dealers...I know there are exceptions but the majority are not accustomed to servicing "high end" cars.

Other than that:
Audio system not up to industry standard for the segment
No auto dimming mirrors on 05's and later
No telescoping steering wheel
Old tech steering box, this car should have a rack and pinion steering rack
No standard or optional HIDs
Minivan style grille
Typical Mercedes lack of ergonomics...Cruise control stalk, window switches location...
Low grade floormats

and did I mentioned the great resale value...but I would buy it all over again no question about it.
