Do you have a SRT6 or n/a Crossfire?

Possibly the catalytic converter. The guts may have come loose and rattle around on deceleration.

it only does it when the car is cold, once it has warmed up no noise. if it is this can it be fixed or new cat.

The guts are probably expanding enough from heat to stop the rattle. Either 'gut' the cat or get a new one.

But make sure that is what it is first...I'm just making an educated guess here.

I was also just remembering something from a long ago post...it could also be a the heat shield above the muffler. At least that is easier to check.

if so... this should still be under warranty as it has to do with emissions.
