Default your opinions please...

what do you guys think of the t-rex grille on my car??? i'm having some trouble with the fiberglass grille shell and i really don't like the idea of riding around with the home depot grille too long. i'm worried the huge chrome trim ring will just be a bit much bling for the car what do you think? pics of the car are in my gallery. thanks!

I don't like the T-Rex (Burtman) grill at all. That's just me though. I wouldn't put it on mine.

I think the AM chrome grille thing is really played out. It only looks good on certain cars and ours isn't one of them.

let me ask this then if i were going to make this fiberglass grille surround then you could add mesh to back after getting painted how much would you be willing to pay and how many of you would be interested... i'm not the best with fiberglass but i have a good friend who does custom stereos and what not and he is the ... stuff... with fiberglassing interiors i'm sure if i could get him to make one he could just make a mold you would receive primed and ready to paint, add your own mesh the stuff is cheap and a pain to ship besides you would have to remove to paint it... the mesh would sit back and under the hood to give it the look like a gaping mouth ... you guys interested?

Irwin,

Did you just by some mesh and cut it to size with no frame?

Right now Burtman is the only one with a mesh grille (No, I am not getting any kickback from them!) Just stating facts. They were the only ones to actually deliver a product. I don't like the heavy chrome surround either. It is of high quality all metal, no plastic or fiberglass. It also has both matching upper and lower grilles.

I did a (sloppy) edit in Paint to make the surround body color. Even Burtman liked that.

Good luck on fabbing the Grille. There is a lot of work involved. If you get someone to actually do it, send me a PM. Maybe I can help you out. I am working on a website that will have many options for the Crossfire. I would love to post an alternative grille.

with the surrounds color matched i'm liking it a lot more. i think on the black it might look really good... i'll talk to my friend i wouldn't sell you guys anything i fiber glassed myself he is a professional and has been doing it for 15 years... so the quality of his work is outstanding. i might get that for now and have the surround painted to match. i have some awesome paint and body shops here that love doing little custom stuff here and there to break up the drones of wrecked up junk cars lol. but i might have him fab it up anyways i'll see if he can make 10. he might do it then being as he can make a mold and do them all at once if you guys like em i'll sell em to you if not... i'll have 10 grilles. lmao could probably make and sell for like $250. so he will get profit i won't make anything on the deal. well i'll probably get one for free lol... but i need to do something cause i might be in a photo shoot for a local magazine soon cause they are doing a write up on his shop and he designed and helped build my system. i'll keep you posted, god i need photo shop lol.

I would be interested, but would have to see actual pictures of it first.

Thanks for trying to put the "Virtual Mesh Grilles" talk to an end (with apologies to Burtman's, I just do not like the wide chrome surround on his).

exactly too much bling although the photo shop one that's painted is not bad. i dunno, i talked to my buddy today and he is really busy at his shop and a lil hesitant to take it on for that reason. but he told me to drop off the stock grille tomorrow for him to look at and if he says he will do it, i'll drop off the stock bumper too. so he can test fit with out me having to be there. i'll keep you informed!
