Electric Crossfire
Did anybody happen to catch the episode of "Modern Marvels" on the History Channel last night? It was about technology that was developed by NASA finding its way into everyday life. One of the things they talked about was a new kind of lithium battery that was powerful and extremely light. Now there's a company that makes electric drive conversions for automobiles and their demonstration unit was, you guessed it, a Crossfire. It was a pretty good looking white coupe, although not as clean as Andrew's...
Are they the same guys that did a crossfire for Jay Leno? I e-mailed them a while back, they are building a conversion kit for the crossfire and already have a kit for mini-coopers. I wouldn't mind going all electric in the crossfire as long at it has at least a 150 horse motor in it...
Electric cars have come a long way the past year with big leaps in Li Ion battery technology.
Check this link to see what is coming soon:

Only problem - BIG wallet needed.

I too am thinking of this for a more unique ride.
