Uh, somebody help me out here. I tried locking the doors without the keys the other day... And I couldn't push the lock plungers down on the doors... and pushing the lock button on the console didn't do squat either. But when I put the keys in the ignition, it worked fine. Is this true???

 

Yes on my '04 I found that the key needs to be in the ignition and be on for the console lock/unlock button to function.

I never tried to push down on the lock in the door to lock it.

 

this is not directed at you in any way, but that is ******* stupid...

 

how did that not get bleeped out? haha it doesn't bother me at all but its the first plain curse word I have ever seen in the forum.
