Default My red Crossfire is actually blue!!!

So I went a little light crazy and have most of the lights interior lights in my car blue... the dome lights, the cargo light, glove box light, the shift ****, the stereo, floor lighting and door sills. Now if I can do the dashboard backlights...

This one is just the dome lights on:

Some more...

Parking lights only (floor is lightly illuminated and doesn't distract at night):

Color is nice. Sure is bright with all the lights on though. How does it effect your night vision?

I'd keep the dashboard green if I were you. It adds a nice contrast to all the blue and turns the instrument cluster into a focal point. Looks good!

I don't keep all the blue on when on the road. When I'm driving it's just the floor that's illuminated and if I happen to turn on the cargo light for something, i would say it's easier to see than the normal lights.

Nicely done... I'm working on a deep purple (UV) theme in my black SRT6.

If I were to do your mod with your EL strips, I'd probably go darker blue or maybe red... who knows? How much were the EL strips anyways?

Check out the how-to link in my signature for info on where I got it... can't remember the cost and it's not quoted in the how-to.

Just call up someone at www.beingseen.com and ask them how much for five feet of 1 inch EL tape of color X and a 12V inverter (Automotive type) ... don't forget to ask about the shipping.

Good luck!

I want to do some blue in my roadster but don't know what to buy that I can hide the wires. Anyone have suggestions on lighting to buy to maybe put under the knee areas. Also what the easiest way to wire them maybe to the dimmer dash switch??? Ron

that's a 2 yr old thread Darticus....but, I have been considering using the same company I bought my blue lights for the Harley.... www.boogielights.com I think that is the right site...I will check it out...but these may work on our cars as well...doing the car shows, it would be nice to at least light up the engine bay a bit...maybe the interior...

I knew the post was old but I thought maybe they would still be out here. I have some LEDGLOW lights. Some small under dash lights hid with invisible wires and a simple wire connection would be cool. A cool blue light under the hood would also be cool. These new cars are not like wiring a 57 Chevy back in High school when I could bend and find wires to cut into! Ron

I already replaced my maplights to cool white LEDs and i sure would love to replace the trunk, glovebox and plate lights to cool white as well. Anyone have links for the specific light bulbs? I can figure out how to replace them I guess. thanks
