Question If A Turbocharger Came Out... How Much Would It Be?

Hey guys,

So I am in the process of building my turbocharger, and it got me thinking;

How much do you think a turbocharger kit (with intercooler, ecu, etc) would cost if someone was to make it a production kit?

More importantly, how much would you pay for it? (I know I wouldn't pay more than maybe $5,000 considering you can just go out and buy and srt-6).

....?

It depends on the turbo that is included, any necessary fuel system,etc.

If it is basically just the turbo, hot and cold side, you would pay a lot less than a full bolt on functioning kit with necessary fuel/ECU mods.

I'm anxious to see how yours turns out! If it is good, I may buy myself a base coupe and make it outrun the SRT of my wife's

a good kit/ecu tune(or stand alone) is generally about 8-10,000...unless your talking about a more common place vehicle, like civic, then your price is right

I would expect to pay between 3000 to 5500. Of course it would have to be proven and reliable.

i think a professional kit with a retuned ecu would run about $6000-$7000, this is realistic, a hacker home brew kit could be made up for $3500-$4000
