supercharger for Limited coupe
I recently bought a '06 Limited coupe. The salesperson a the local Chrysler dealer told me it is possible to install a Chrysler supercharger from the SRT on my engine. It adds 55 hp. Cost of the supercharger through Chrysler is $600 plus installation. Is this true and will it work on the Limited coupe's engine with out other modifications?
Thanks
Thanks
The SRT model has 330 hp and the others have 215 Hp. Why only a 55 hp gain? Safety of drivetrain or sales don't know what they're talking about (never could happen with a stealership)...
not for $600 plus labor the srt6 supercharger msrp is $2,140 plus all the other parts you would need. you might find it cheaper but not for $600 plus it would be to much for the stock motor.

Tell you what. I agree with the thought of taking them up on it. And if its so, tell all of us with the non-srt model and I bet that stealership will be rich from us buying one as well.
You would most certainly void your limited lifetime drivetrain warranty and any other extended warranty by installing this option. And where the heck are you going to use all that horsepower in the United States? The 215hp is certainly enough to get anyone in trouble (although I must admit that I would love to have the SRT-6 option too).

I'm skeptical but curious...
If it works there will be a line of Crossfires from this forum lined up outside of the service department awating the same treatment...
Slim
Who told you this? Salesman? LOL.
Mechanic in the shop? I would take them up on it, just make sure they aren't adding one those goofy electric hair blower fans for $600.
Maybe the labor is $2,500? Sounds like the same salesperson that says we can get the crossfire serviced at Mercedes Benz. Not happening for warranty work.
Doubt it!
That's kind of like the guy that told me spark plugs were covered in the warranty on my cummins diesel.
BTW, you can buy a complete low-miles SRT-6 Engine for the price of that SRT blower alone.

OK Put an end to this. I am the sales guy. Asked a new parts counter guy at dealer ship about supercharger. I just bought a '04 Limited with 3,500 miles on car. (Love the Car) He looked it up for me. the only problem is he forgot to put the extra 0 in front of the decimal point. Another Parts person and myself looked it up today. $6,024 just for supercharger from Chrysler. Not to mention the suspension would have to be redone and the trans. have to be redone. So sorry for the confusion, I did call person and set the record straight. By the way parts guy was fired today, but not for this problem.

Not sure what type just looked on computer. I thought the supercharger was a IHI Helic type, I may be wrong, Im still learning every day. Not all dealerships are a stealership. Hey I get my paycheck from one.
