Default Winter/Summer Setup TPMS Question...

Well I have decided to run winter setup in the winter instead of storage as I simply don't want to drive my other vehicle... the way I did last winter...

I would like to run winter tires the dunlops on my stock wheels... and when it gets a little warmer switch to my new rims... with summer performance tires... Both wheels are exactly equal in size and width... my question is should I purchase another set of TPMS for the new set up or should I keep remounting it everytime I switch between setups? I don't know much about how the system works... how much it costs? Where I can purchase it? Or how can I mount it?

I would like your oppinion on how I should go about this...

Thanks in advance.

Personally, for all the extra cost and hassle involved, I wouldn't bother installing them on wheels I only plan on using for 4 months.
Just check your air pressure often, and you shouldn't have any problems.

I asked a question in another thread and do not remember seeing an answer. Does an activated TPMS warning light trigger any other response in the body control module? In other words, does the vehicle behave differently with a low tire pressure warning?

The TPMS on these cars are just for safety they have no control over any system. It's just to let you know the pressure is below a safe level so you don't end up like the ford explorers use too. I put winter tires on a set of stock rims with no sensors and warning light doesn't come on.
