I'm getting a cat back for christmas...Borla or Magnaflow...or another type of exaust...maybe? I'm leaning toward Borla. Could you help me out...? Thanks.

 

why not custom make something with a muffler of choice? and besides it makes it much easier to keep the stock tips if you want to do that... Also should come out cheaper this way...

Borla = more money, mellow tone, no drone, slight reduction in back pressure, MoPar stocked part at any dealer, nice OEM quality construction.

Magnaflow = less money, aggressive tone, some drone, straight through design for very little back pressure, twin mufflers makes later upgrade to "true duals" very easy.

That's my take on it. I have the Magnaflow and like it but I'm a old Hotrod gear head type...

While it's all a matter of taste, I love the MagnaFlow, and it definitely opens up revving of the engine from about 3,500 on up, especially if you do any CAI and certainly if you do an ECU upgrage. Love the look too.

See im friends with one owners at the local muffler shop. He's doing the piping for me. I just buying the muffler and new tips. So I take it as yall said Magnaflow is louder? I want a loud car...lol.
