I've kissed their a$$ up one side and down the other with nice letters 4 times now and I haven't received a single thing. Maybe if I send one of FP's pics with a letter they'll send me something.

I almost hate to post this, but I just received two sets of decals and two sets of badges in a week, along with a thank you. I think it's all a matter of who gets our e-mails at the other end.

One set for each car.

I founds out that if you don't put "USA" in the address it ends up going all over the world...

When adhering these decals and emblems is anyone doing any prep? Wax removal, alcohol wash etc?

You definitely want to prep the surface with a good wax & grease remover. Isopropyl Alcohol works well too.

Reviving an old thread here!
Has anyone tried this recently? Are Karmann still providing
goodies in response to complimentary corrispondance?
I love the decal beneath the wing, and the shield badges are
nice looking too.....

Well, it sounds like people never actually recieved an email reply, for most the "package" simply arrived one day sometime later....
Keep us updated if anything from Germany shows up in your mailbox.

Oh. I heard they were bought by a Chinese company. I guess I need to research a little deeper.

Strange, did they not build the SRT6? The total production listed for Crossfires numbers only 54, 165 vehicles!

Are you disputing that Karmann was bought by VW? Or something else. We all know that Wikipedia can't be taken too seriously, because there's so much false information. Just curious as to exactly what on this particular issue you're disputing.

Question Re: Karmann badges

Tried link in earlier posts and it doesn't work. If you backspace back to the Karmann .com site, it immediatly changes to a volkswagon site. I guess VW did by out Karmann.
Does this mean I/we are out of luck now? I really like the underwing placard/decal.

Johnny

Been there done that (website and an email)...

The website goes to VW with absolutely no info to be had.

And an email to karmann.com, does not get you the brass ring.

I think this decal party is over and has run it's course.

I like the look under the Spoiler, and would even pay for the decal, but I can't find it anywhere, and I've tried.

If I knew how to make them, I'd have a nice cottege industry perfect for retirement...lol...

(Maybe Andrew can save the day, and add this item to his Crossfire badges...)
