Question Portable GPS

Hi,

Has anyone used the suction cup, on a hand held GPS down by the ash tray? I am wondering if it will wreck the silver coating once I remove it. I have it on the window right now, but would like to put it lower.

Thanks!

I have only used mine on my windshield. Just make sure that wherever you put it, it has a direct line of site with the satellites overhead and on the horizon. Otherwise, you'll have is an expensive paperweight!

Unless you have a really small GPS (I have a garmin nuvi 350 and that's one of the smaller ones) I don't think the suction cup will stick to the ash tray... it isn't flat.

I will go snap some pictures of my crossfire setup.. it's in the middle of the windshield and I think it looks good.
