Default A Pleasant Surprize

While I don't usually check my mileage, I had set my trip odometer at my last fill up.

Today, I had traveled 227 miles (in town driving) and it took 9.8 gallons to fill it up. Folks.......that's 23 mpg! I'd figured that I was getting 17-18 mpg around the city.

To say I was pleasantly surprized would be an understatement.

What's the consensus here? Is that average or better than average?

Don

How can you drive a Crossfire and not have a lead foot.
It's just too much fun.

My '04 experienced 31 mpg on 93 octane while traveling from Lancaster PA to Charlotte NC over the Christmas holiday...@ $3.40/g this was a nice present

I have averaged 27 MPG since buying the car in July '05. Best was 30.6 MPG returning from PA Chrysler Nationals last year. Most of my driving is obviously on the interstates.
