A Pleasant Surprize
While I don't usually check my mileage, I had set my trip odometer at my last fill up.
Today, I had traveled 227 miles (in town driving) and it took 9.8 gallons to fill it up. Folks.......that's 23 mpg! I'd figured that I was getting 17-18 mpg around the city.
To say I was pleasantly surprized would be an understatement.
What's the consensus here? Is that average or better than average?
Don

Since buying my Crossfire (used) I've driven 10,230 miles, purchased 430.656 gallons at a total cost of $1,166.85, at an average cost of $2.709 per gallon and gotten an average of 23.754 miles per gallon.

Steve
I have averaged 27 MPG since buying the car in July '05. Best was 30.6 MPG returning from PA Chrysler Nationals last year. Most of my driving is obviously on the interstates.
