so yea im drivin down the 290 on sat. and a rsx type s pulls up to me so we meet eyes and i just rip that car in half lol i mean wow lol. then a lil later a 1996 eclipse turbo awd pulls up thinkin he can take me. wrong lol. he was left in the dust lol. then today (sunday) im drivin around and a celica gts pulls up and please i didnt even have the pedal all the way down and i beat him lol. and then the camaro. it was a iroc z 1989 and i raced him straight off the line and beat him up to 100 by 2.5 cars. wow what a weekend. cant wait to see what else i can beat. o and whats up with these lil miata's that think they can compete with us? i mean seriously hahaha I LOVE MY CROSSFIRE!!!

P.S. oh and by the way my X-fire is stock lol. 5 spd.

How does the XF 3.2 V6 compare to Euro cars like the Golf GTI, Renault Megane Sport or the Ford focus ST ?

 

I'm driving home from work sunday morning and a gt mustang pulls up beside me at a red light and the light turns green. I floor it he just takes off nice and easy I get about 5 car lengths in front of him and then he floors it went by me like i was sitting still. he pulled over up the road and i was talking to him, he has somewhere around 500 hp at the wheel.

I suspect the turbo DSM driver didn't consider you worth the gas.

 

Golf GTI is much slower than the Crossfire. Heavier, less power, etc.

 

Now this is a sleeper . Not many vics in the N/A but assembled a graveyard in 6 .

 

My 1995 Talon Tsi (turbo AWD auto transmission) only had 205 HP stock. They are not REAL fast stock.
My 1990 Talon Tsi (turbo AWD manual transmission) only has 195HP stock.
They also are not REAL fast stock.

 

My Stage 1 equipped 2004 PT Cruiser Turbo will kill my 2005 Crossfire Limited Roadster in a straight line drag but the Crossfire will literally run circles around the PT on a road course. I like having choices.

 

Sure you could outrun a couple of those cars you mentioned ... But my only input would be this >> It's not really a race if the other drivers don't know about it :-) Sometimes when I was driving my Viper GTS, some of those stickered Neons and lowered Civics would just thrash me leaving the lights. They'd stopped at the next one before I even started putting on my brakes. Ummm ... I'm not going to bother Chief, so rev away! Whatever makes you feel better!

dude no joke they asked me to race. lol. like we honked and on the 3rd honk we'd gun it. they all new that we were racing. and the rsx did what you were sayin. like he just gunned it b4 i did and i was like a second off of him but i still rocked him. they all new we were racing

 

Just be aware that our cars are not fast but rather quick, pick your battles carefully.

 

Is it just me or does anyone else here see another XFire soon to be out of production.

Dragtimes list this as a 91 Spirit R/T but it has 92 rims and clear marker lights. Otherwise it looks just like mine complete with peeling paint.

 

Not the same car. That 92 is what mine looked like before I restored it. The 91 is Wallace White's 'Compact Car Magazine' star.

Just mentioning how easy it is to be "faster than a crossfire".

 

im 18. o i know our cars arent fast. i mean they arent race cars they are luxury sport. but i mean ya only live once so ill race w/e. i mean for right now in my life im happy to have my xfire. i mean if you compare my xfire to other college kids cars. mine surely stands out. i dont care if i get ripped in half by another car i just like seeing what i can hold up against. like my dream car is a vette either an oldschool 63 or a new z06 or zr1. and im on my way to med school this august so my xfire is to have fun with now. but once i get outta med school. o boy lol. say hello to my new ride. the only thing i wish the xfire had is a lil bit more power like if i can get it in the 14.3 range i would be 100% satisfied.
