The Above pic has two Rostral Columns, studded with ships' prows, served as oil-fired navigation beacons in the 1800s (on some public holidays gas torches are still lit on them) by Anton & the Below pic is The historical ship Aurora across from the Rostal Columns.



The Above, the Famous Hermitage Museum by Anton & the Below the other side of the Hermitage by SF.

Here's a Few more nice shots in St Petersburg, I tooks 1,000s the two days we were there in 2004.


The Gardens at the Palace - PETERHOF - "the Russian Versailles", "the Capital of Russian Fountains"

The Tallest Carved Monolith in the World, in the Winter Palace Square!




Inside the Peter and Paul Cathedral - which houses the remains of almost all the Russian Emperors and Empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family who were finally laid to rest in July 1998.
