Just the Center Strake like you have, more pronounced like the one on the Coupe Roof & maybe the two side edges like on the Roof, would be fine with me.
Any others, let's hash it out & see if we can come up with one fav?
With my Roadster I could take the Exact mold as is, with No problem.
My 2 cents!

I'm also very interested, Are you planning on using our original hood or an all new hood?
If you're using the original, it would be great if it could be done over the winter months. I would prefer to go that route to get a perfect match of the paint.

Maybe it's time to get creative here. If it's a whole new hood, then why not CF (not pink, thank you) or stainless (like the droptop Roller) or chrome (for those who like that)? Matching paint on a 2 to 4 year old car isn't always easy, so perhaps there could be other alternatives to consider too...
1st. I'd like to thank Silver Fox for posting this thread.
I was aware from the beginning that some Crossfire owners would balk at the loss of the Crossfires signature hood strakes. But there was simply no way to retain even a couple of strakes without making the hood look too busy, or cluttered, IMO. If I tried running stakes over the scoop itself, I feel it would take away from the great look of the scoop.
I had to decide which look I wanted more, and of course for me it was an easy decision to make, and Chrysler even made it easier for me when they started putting copies of the Crossfire hood on the Pacifica, and the Sebring.
Since the AMX scoop already had its own spine (albeit, less pronounced than the original XF hood) I felt it was ample enough to continue with the original theme. Once again, I didn't want to mess with a classic design the scoop offered.
I'm going to try and make it to as many Crossfire GTG's as I can this year, so lots of Crossfire owners can see it in the flesh. From past experience, most people have told me they like it much more in person.
Thanks everybody for your comments, (positive & negative) because I don't expect everybody to like it. And please don't think for a moment that I'm knocking the way a "stock" Crossfire looks, because that is not the case.
I'm simply a follower of the philosophy of "MIYO"... Make it your own, and have been for nearly 40 years, and I'm too old to change now.
Since our cars are now "orphaned" we're pretty much on our own to modify them anyway we want to, since nobody but another Crossfire owner knows for sure what is "stock" or not. Besides, you can always put em back to stock when it comes time to sell.

honestly i would like this hood very much if it was carbon firber. is you get this design and incorporate a carbon fiber hood. not only would it look AMAZING but it would help a lil on the performance end. Also if you dont like the carbon fiber look just paint over your cars color. i say make it carbon fiber and im DEFINATELY IN!
I've seen it in person and it looks great. If only you could make the scoops funtional ? Hmmm...that would solve that CAI argument.

It looks great but I agree with CALL911 that the real thing here would be to make it a functional air intake for our engines.
If you are investing money for this mod it would be best to have it functional as well.
I don't know the difficulty in making that happen though.

This is a factory "original" set up. But they reproduce everything, and I think the reproduction parts sell for allot less.
like i said before. im totally down for this. 100% but carbon fiber it. i mean hell that would be amazing. the CAI problem would be solved, the wheels in the front would have less weight on them, and it would look BAD @SS!
