Question **Yet ANOTHER Shift **** Question**

Can you switch a manual shift **** (universal) with the shift **** on an automatic? If so, do you think this is something I, non mechanical type, can do?

Thanks!

No, I don't believe so. I'm 'fairly' certain, they are different.
(I've got MB SLK Leather Shift ***** on the SRT6's & My GC Jeep)
Anyone else care to Chime in?

Thanks,

The man at AutoZone said that since my shift **** does not require a "push" button, then the one for a manual would probably work, as that was usually the difference.

I figured someone here would know.

I bought a Momo shift **** for mine last week. It fits pretty well.
Bought it from this guy:
http://stores.ebay.com/Crowders-Customizing

Since our ***** don't have buttons, they are easier to put aftermarket ones on.

Which one did you purchase and also, can you tell me what the diameter is for the automatic XFire *****?

Thanks!

I've got a Like New MB Dark Slate Leather one like below For Sale $55.00 UPS Shipped?
The MB Retail is like $169.00, I paid $79 on eBay, but just sold my Coupe without it.
Anyways, what you need is an "MB/SLK fit", there are a lot in the Marketplace.

I bought this one:

I don't know about the diameter part. The Momos come with different pieces to fit various cars.

1x100 is 100%(don't ask me how I know) chick as in woman, with new shiny stony shift **** and high heels.

The **** is...nice but will not have a place in my car. It's "cute".
I had gone for MOMO.

Auto Shift **** Removal:
The top ball of the shifter has a collar at the bottom. That collar unscrews clockwise (looking down).
I actually wore a pair of light weight work gloves with the rubber grip fingers to turn the collar on the ****.
Once unscrewed, it slides down the shaft, and the ball pulls upward and off.
You may have to slightly twist it L&R while pulling up. Good luck , Gary
