Default More new owner questions

It might just be different from what I'm used to and maybe it's just the way it is, but there seems to be a slight RPM hang between shifts. lt's like a half second lag before the rpms drop between shifts. My Viper and Stealth immediately start to drop once I pushed the clutch in and let off the gas, but the Xfire takes about half a second longer to wind down. Is this just the way they are?

Also, what is my car missing? I have a base model and there appears to be two mounting hooks for a rear hatch cover, like a retractable curtain. The Chrysler site shows it standard on the 2008 Limited, but was it included on the base models? I also have an empty hole in the foam on the right hand side under the trunk carpet. The left side has a tire repair can, but the right side is empty. Finally, what are the two hooks between the seats on the rear bulkhead for?

Thanks.

The empty hole is for the front license plate bracket that comes with the car. As far as the shifting mines a auto so I can't help there.

The hooks are for a cargo cover, but it was extra cost dealer accessory until '08. None came with it. The pocket in the trunk is just that, a pocket. Some people have their CD changer there, I keep my "tools" there(Flashlight, Tire Guage, Rags, etc.) The 2 hooks between the seats are referred to as "Umbrella Hooks" I use them for Baseball Hats. As far as the RPM Hang, that is normal on Manual Crossfires. It's a sideeffect to the "Throttle by Wire" Electronic Throttle Body. A Sprint Booster will fix that "issue" if you continue to find it annoying. Do a Search for "Sprint Booster" and decide if you want one.
