Arrow Windshield Trim is outrageous.

('04 Crossfire Coupe)

I just got off the phone with my local Chrysler dealer. The silver trim around the outside of the windshield is ridiculously expensive. The top peice ALONE costs $360. Anybody have any idea of where to get these cheaper? I'm doubting it actually. Haven't checked Ebay yet.

Seeing as how my first warranty is gone and I only have the powertrain warranty left, this cosmetic fix is definitely not covered.

By the way... you might want to check your trim and make sure it's secure. Mine blew off at 130 mph. Couldn't recover the peice.

Just found the "Upper molding" which is actually what they call the trim I guess

$246.10. That's better than $360... Now I'll just have to put it on myself. Any suggestions?

I would like to know how the top and sides attach, I think it looks terribly out of place where it is a different color than the rest of the car. I plan to paint mine to match the car if I buy a srt6, I think it looks goofy the way it comes from the factory.

Default Lkq

LKQ is a nationwide salvage parts group. They sell on ebay a lot. They seem to be a good source for XF parts asI see a lot of Limited interior parts of theirs on auction a lot. Call them.

I'm not affiliated in any way way with LKQ; Just a suggestion

I would guess some type of tape/adhesive rated at 129.9mph?

It should be clipped on with some type of locking clips. I'm sure a glass installer could tell you.

I am not too sure if I would buy stuffs from parts.com. I contacted them since I needed couple parts for my car. They had great price for parts but they never replied back to the question which I had. I wonder what's going to happen if the part which I ordered came in as broken part and trying to get hold of them.....it's going to be big hassle and I could not find their phone number anywhere on their website.... mayb I am blind.

Found the trim at autoxclusive.com. And it's chrome. Sweet. Would look really nice I believe. Yeah, it is around $320 but hey, I'll spend that extra few bucks to get chrome.

I don't have the chrome trim. But it's been my impression that they are applied over the stock trim. You may still have to buy the stock one. Maybe someone that has the chrome will add to this.

As far as I know, this trim just attached to the outside of the stock trim - doesn't replace it.

The club should look into finding dealers that will give 20% discounts to members. There is a dealer 1/2 hour from me that gives a 25% Viper parts discount.

That's correct. It's installed with double sided tape and fits very, very well. With a small 90* edge and the two section dividers that correspond to the roof seam lines, it completely covers the existing trim and looks OEM (better, actually ), IMHO. I have had it on for over a year with no loosening of any kind. Haven't done the 129.9 MPH test yet though....

Well I was hoping that wasn't the case but oh well. 130 mph is when my trim (only top section) flew off.

Thank God I didn't go ahead and buy the chrome covers with the assumption of it being a replacement for OEM part... Would've been screwed. I guess I'll have to be satisfied with silver stock trim... don't wanna spend $600 on both.
