Default Need help finding cheaper 0W40 Mobil 1!

Does a cheaper source exist? Everybody says that they have found it at "Wallyworld" in the 5 qt jugs... Is wallyworld, Walmart? If so, here in Detroit, I have never seen Mobil 1 0W40. I actually called Mobil and asked them and they said that they only offer the 0W40 synthetic in the 55 Gal drums or 1 qt jugs.

Does anybody have a good source for this oil? I now have 2 cars that specify Mobil 1 0W40!! 13 QTS every 2 months is going to suck!!

The stealership actually quoted me $115 for an oil change for my SRT8!

Napa has it for $6.50 a quart. Others have found it at $6.00. Only comes in quarts that I have seen. Oil change every two months? Your doing a LOT of driving. The Xfire is 7000 miles between changes.

Look in the yellow pages under oil / lubrication, you should be able to find a "jobber" that supplies oil to most of the quick shops and manufacturing plants around your area. My wife has a VW Jetta Diesel and that is where I get the Mobile Delvac 1 15-45 that it calls for. I Have to buy it by the case (4) gallons but this last me through three oil changes (takes 5 quarts per every 10,000 mile oil change).
That is what I will end up doing when I order more of the diesel oil is to see what they chage for the crossfire oil and get a case of it as well.

Autozone was the only place I could find 0W40 Mobil 1 here in Springfield, MO. I was starting to think 0W40 oil was just a fable :-)

I'm here in metro Detroit also, Murray's sells Mobile1, and here is a link to 0W-40 online:
http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...Number=M300002
This company owns murrays, so they will price match this. I'm gonna check Walmart to see if it's cheaper.

I think that I can help you, Midas offers a complete oil change and filter for a mere $59.95 with any synthetic you want, including 0-W-40 Mobil 1, Best deal I have seen.

Check it out. I'm sure there's a 6 quart limit though.

Probably 5 Quarts. 90% of cars use 5 or less. Even paying for the other 4 quarts, it would come to about $85, which isn't bad. You change my own, so it only cost me about $65.

No 6 quart limit, they are right next door to a dealer and they do Crossfires for them. I made sure that the guy knew what I was asking about and I asked twice just to make sure.

I just got my first oil change last week at a dealership and had them put nitrogen in the tires at the same time. My total was $117 and 80 of that was for the oil and filter change. Sounds like I got a pretty good deal considering the cost of the oil. On the bill it said that I got 8 qts of mobile 1, 0-W-40 so that price seemed good to me.

That's a pretty impressive price. Especially when you consider that an OEM filter is $25.00 and 9qts at a min of $6.00 is $45.00 all totaling $70.00 in parts alone. I'd be weary of that price.

When I did my first change I bought the oil at Advance auto Parts for $6.00 a quart, I bought 9 and the filter with the o rings for $7.99. I spent $66.34 If I can get it done for $59.95, I save time and money. We just did my wife's car there last Saturday. No problems and it was done right. I inquired again as to the price for a synthetic job and the sign said $59.95, I asked again about Crossfires and he said that he does them all the time for the dealer right next door. What can I tell you more? I also run the nitrogen in the tires and found a difference in tire wear and handling as well as ride. $25.00 for all wheels.
I'm a believer!!!

I just called the midas here in Buffalo NY and asked about that deal. They told me that they do have that same deal for $59.95 and that covers 5 qt of oil, each additional qt is $4.95. He said this was standard for all their stores.

Quarts? or Gallons? I can buy it anywhere in quarts... Unless Walmart has it a lot cheaper? I'm sure it's still more than $5/qt right?
