Default Xfire coupe with a sunroof

Has any one considered putting a sun roof on their crossfire coupe?

It's been done. It destroys the spine on the roof.

T Tops is not a bad Idea at all... if you can do a custom job that would be very inspirational...

Not to discourage you...but by cutting the roof for t-tops you will severly weaken the structure of the car. You'll have to fab a framework to keep the car structurally sound. I would look into swapping over the convertible brace, as well as any other frame bits.

If you try this...make sure to post pics...I'd love to see it done.

I had a '79 Trans-Am 6.6 with t-tops...I loved that car!

I did put in a sunroof last year, I enjoy it, it makes it feel more open, not so closed in. It must look good, because another fellow crossfire owner took her's in when she saw mine. Both of ours are black, and I don't think it would look good on any other color. When I take it out of storage this spring, I will take pictures of it and send them in.

Looking forward to the pics.
Please take photos of the inside and outside as there is a spine on both sides of the roof.
I'd like a sunroof, but was concerned about the spines etc.

Said the man who destroyed the spine AND grooves on his hood!!! That's not a slam at all as I think you're scoop is extremely well done and looks pretty cool - I just found it a bit funny is all.

If anybody is really serious about having T-Tops installed on there Crossfire, I would highly recommend the shop that constructed my hood. Those guys are real craftsmen, and after seeing some of the projects they had in their shop, I have no doubts they could build ya almost anything.
I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap, but "quality" workmanship never is.

I thought about the Targa top idea too. I have a 04 Graphite Grey coupe. I also thought that having just a solid glass roof like the vista roof the ford edge has. I'll have to contact customs unlimited and see what they say since im in the Cincinnati area.

I think it's been said in another thread, but if you wanted a true "Targa" version, it might be better to start with a roadster, and have the back section of a coupes roof grafted onto the back of it.
For a T-Top, a coupe would probably work out fine with some extra support.
The solid glass roof sounds intriguing.

Could you please send me pictures and where you had it done and what brand. I jusy bought an 06 LTD Coupe. Its red not black but I need to get a roof for it. The bottom line is I would prefer not have to do it but I am afraid that I miss the air so much that I may sell her and get another as I mess the air to much in my ride. Please let me know. thanks my email is fsmithjack@yahoo.com Thanks

I wonder if Nissan style skylight (Maxima 04-08) panels that leave the spine intact would work? No air, but some sunlight.
