Dude Wtf!?
ok so is anyone else gettin a little upset with the fact that our cars have barely any performance parts?? i mean why cant we get these cars into the mid to high 13 second rage? the best time ive heard on our cars is 14.4 (limited 5spd auto) all these little 4 cylinders are startin to p!ss me off. like chevy is comin out with the 2008 cobalt ss TURBOCHARGED. 260hp 0-60 in 5.7sec with quater mile times of 14.1. itll have the same set up as the solstice and sky. i just wish there was a way to get more power out of our cars. i mean hell dont get me wrong if i had to choose between this car and sum other car in its class i woul take this one hands down. but im jsut disappointed at the fact we can use a bit more power. if you ask me this car would be PERFECT if it had 260hp runnin high 13.8. i have an 04 limited and im just waiting for TVT to get there car runnin mid 13's. then ill be happier then ever. and ill buy all their mods lol. like i know a guy who has a sts turbo kit on his Xfire and its tuned puttin down 300hp. i just havent had the time to get ahold of him. ive been WAY to busy. but yea i dunno this was a random subject but yea just had to vent a little bit lol. just a little lol
ha your probly right. but the thing is i dont like the rims and the fixed spoiler and i could care less about the suede seats. i mean dont get me wrong im more then thankful for having this car (considering the fact im only 18) but i mean hell a lil more power wouldnt hurt.

I feel ya on that for sure man
true true. to be 100% honest...i would take an srt6 over anything except a corvette. thats my favorite car. lol. i just say i wouldnt get one cuz of the fact that i cant afford it lol. i mean i got my 04 limited for 14500 with 17k miles on it. so i mean it was a steal for me. i love the srt6's but i mean i cant trade my car for one cuz paying for this car as it is is hard lol. the srts are SICK! but o well guess i wont be havin one lol. so i just wanna get more power out of my limited. ya know what i mean.
what are you talking about this car has plenty of performance parts, they are just really expensive, and most of them have MBZ part numbers.
INmotion sells the NO2 ecu flash, just install a couple bottles and you to can hit 290hp

Just like TCS, ABS, and ESP, HFS cannot be disabled.
My understanding is that HFS is designed to reduce hormone-induced competitiveness by sampling the testosterone levels of the occupant 500 times a second. If the occupant's testosterone level is higher than deemed safe by strict ISO 9003 standards, the car responds by increasing the perceived difference in power. This usually results in the driver's testosterone levels decreasing and being replaced with feelings of inadequacy. The NHTSA has shown that this correlates strongly with a 50% decrease in street racing activities.

However, our cars do something that the 4 cylinders can't do and that is run 130+ mph ALL DAY LONG on the autobahn. Unfortunately, this does us in the states little good. I get so jealous when I watch the segment of "test drive" where Tommy Kendall is just cruising along at 145mph. The Crossfire seemed so stable.

you can:
upgrade the air filter
upgrade the exhaust
upgrade the ecu
upgrade the injectors
add nos
all of these things make our cars quicker than stock
IMHO, the XF is not a typical vehicle you would "pimp" up like you do with the crappy little hondas. I think I would trade XF in if I had to see a fart pipe on one. If you want the fast XF, get an SRT. Otherwise, enjoy the vehicle for what it is: a wonderful piece of art with fine looks and damn decent handling and performance.

I don't remember too many people passing me in the 70,000 miles I drove my '04 autostick ! Especially when I was traveling 75-80 mph on the 101 fwy ! I was happy with my '04 and may have opt for a '07 - '08 LTD instead of the SRT6 I bought.
Also to finish this up.
A crossfire will hold its own against much faster cars at higher speeds. I had mentioned where from about 50 roll I hung with my friends moded srt-4. Also, it was made and tested on the autobahn, not the drag strip. Take the car to a road coarse track and it will out handle your Civic si, mustang cobra, srt-4, ect ect. If you want to street race stop light to stop light, go buy something else more gay, and more common, and then I hope you drive it into a pole and only injure yourself.
I am Shawn, and I approve this message.

you got that right, I was shocked when I was able to hang with an EVO up to 140mph, then he backed off.
