This is my favorite time of the year! I've seen more Xfires on the road here in Dayton this week than I have all year.

You know, the Jeep Wranglers have a "Jeep Wave". We ought to have a wave too. Nothing fancy, just an acknowledgment of those of us who have the great fortune of driving an awesome car!

 

- I know that Jeep wave well. I used to have a '95 Wrangler.

So what's the X-fire wave?
- that casual "I'm too cool flick of the finger" ? (no, not that finger!)
- the exuberant full hand, howdy ! (we've got cool cars!)
- or something in between ?

I've only seen 3 or 4 XF since I got mine in December, I guess they all got put to bed for the winter

 

I think I have. I love that color! If they would have had that in stock when I bought my car, I would have got it. I had a black XF behind me on 75/35 today.

I think the modest lifting of the fingers while the hand is on the wheel is fine. If you're like me and have a 6-speed, that's about all I can do sometimes!

 

Mine's an automatic, so I have one hand free, but I do like the

modest lifting of the fingers

it's so much more dignified, doncha know !

I like the idea of the "wave." However, I am so "tinted out" that no one will be able to see me if I did wave at them. Sometimes I forget that the windows are so dark and I try to wave at people that I know and it seems like they just ignore me. Then, I realize that they just couldn't see me through the tint. -- Or, maybe they DID see me and just didn't want to speak. Hmmmmm!

 

I always wave at fellow Xfire drivers. Sometimes they wave back other times they don't. Learned this from driving my Vette.

 

Can we have a secret handshake too?
