I heard, thats normal urban mpg is 19.8 (Auto) on Xfire...

I tried to calculate - and I have something around 10 mpg (25L/100km) (generaly - driving is smooth and calm)
Is it normal? My crossfire - eating like Ram 5.2

I have driven my Crossfire 12000 miles in one year.
I always track my mpg for every fill up.
My lowest mileage tank was 19.3
My best mileage was 30.3

I recently went form Chicago to North Carolina for the Tail of the Dragon meet.
Overall I traveled a total of 1449 miles and used 56.9 Gallons
Average overall was 25.4 mpg.
This includes mountain driving and highway too.

Something sounds very wrong with you mileage.

 

No way man......the automatic is supposed to get better gas mileage than the 6 speed stick....mine's a 6 speed & I'm getting 25 or 26 MPG ??????

Is your's a SRT6?

 

Sounds like a leak! I get 20 around town and 28 on the highway.

 

It would have to be a VERY enthusiastically driven SRT to get 10mpg.

Perhaps with a pulley, and no police you might get 10mpg.

 

Lol i remember my skyline r32 gtr. put your foot down in that and you could get it down to 4mpg!!

Last year when I hit spring fling in van nuys - drove from Calgary down . . . total cost of fuel was $248 round trip !!! Figuring it out, was 35mpg (Imperial gallon), which roughly is 32-33mpg (US gallon). That was cruising on the interstate at 80-85 the whole time !!! Total miles driven round trip was 3,200 !

 

I'm averaging about 24 mpg around town with very few long trips. I can see 30 mpg is obtainable if you are not hard on the accelerator. My XFire is my economy car.

There is no way to get a accurate MPG on 6 gallons and 60 miles. Are you sure it was full to start?

 

average on my SRT-6 city driving is 20 mpg highway driving best 24.6 mpg

 

I've only gotten about 17 or 18MPG in my car since I've had it. Seems no matter how I drive it I only get about 250 miles to a tank?

 

I have been watching mine close for the last 4 tanks all were right at 25mph

 

I averaged about 26 MPG with my 06 base stick. Have 3 tankfills in the 08 auto and averaging 27.5 MPG.

 

I calculated mine for the first time the other day and came out to 15.9mpg. That was on a 215 mile tank with 100miles of freeway and a 1/4 tank of use at the dragstrip...........the rest was stop and go in the city(I really like to use all of the gas pedal as well).

 

Mostly short daily commutes...about 7 miles each way. Consistently get 23 MPG. Sometimes 19+ when I ride it really hard. Best has been 28.4. Average since I've owned her is 23.2. As another responder said, the Crossfire is my economy car...my other vehicle is a V8 Dodge Dakota getting 14 MPG.

 

Average 23mpg combined city / highway. 27mpg on the open road. I baby this car.......NOT !

I average about 25 around town and to work and best on the hwy was 33. I drive the speedlimits or about 5 over, no hot rodding much but when its been checked that has been the norm.

 

I really don't understand the great disparity there seems to be on this. I realize a lot of factors come into play like auto vs. manual, srt vs. limited, hwy vs. city, etc..... but I see people here with almost the same car as mine, yet with better mpg's. I don't get it.

Since day one (2.5 years ago) I've averaged about 20 mpg on almost every tankful..... daily driver, autostick, around town less than 20 miles a day, with or without a/c, assertive but not aggressive driver.

If I use half a tank on the highway, I get about 23 on that tankful.
