Default Startech ROOF SPOILER: Group Buy

I've received numerous requests for Startech products. It is extremely cost prohibitive for both the customer and myself to purchase these one at a time. I am offering a Group Buy of at least 5 people and it will only be limited by the order date.

Retail on CTD (converted): 465.89 + shipping
Group Buy Price: 425.00 shipped, this is about $100.00 savings.

We need at least 5 people for the shipping costs to not impact the overall price.

We will also be doing group buys for the other Startech pieces.

A list of names will be generated, money gathered, and products ordered.

Group Buy closes May 20th.

Anthony, it might be a good idea to post a pic of the product.

Ditto. I don't see it on your website.

Is this a "functional" roof scoop? If so, is installation included?

I hope Mayaman doesn't mind me stealing his pics (I'll give you a discount in the future). Here are the pieces installed: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=23928

By design, yes it is functional. Installation is not included, but we can paint on premesis for an additional cost.

Startech is apparently secretive about releasing pics of their products and we do not have these in stock. We are able to get them at a discounted price, but never invested the initial upfront cost for the pieces. With the newfound interest I decided I would pass our savings onto the forum.

I also posted this thread in the Groupbuy section. If needed we can move it there.

Anthony,

Are you sure it's #2 and not #1... to me if it's called a roof spoiler it'd be closer to the roof, no

Looks like it should be #1 to me. That won't work for those with a nav antenna up there.

Factory NAV antennas aren't in the back, but maybe some have aftermarket ones...

My apologies, I'm talking about #2, but quoted prices on #1. Is there interest in #1?

Here are the prices for #2:

Retail: 549.92 + shipping
Group Buy price: 449.99 shipped, $100.00 savings.

Sorry for the confusion.

Anthony

I don't know what ST has made them out of but, it seems to me they could be reproduced for 1/3 that cost or less !

TVT_Design, if you get more people on the list will this bring down the price any more?

Does it come with a new spoiler? For that kinda money it should come with something? A box of steaks? Maybe a nice bottle of Dom. Something?

WAY to rich for my blood. I can't see paying over $400 for a 6"x36" peice of plastic with no paint.

I agree that it could be reproduced for 1/3 of that.

^^^LOL what?

Its expensive for sure, and the dollar is not helping. I bought it for $350 but that was 2 years ago. And yeah I don't use the roof spoiler because I have a nav ant there.

Anything you buy is going to be expensive when coming from Europe. Its just fiberglass and maybe TVT can make their own. Browse my threads for "startech" and you'll see the clay mockup I did on my car. Very very similar and you can copy it.

How much do you think we are making off of these? I'll give you a hint it's less then $50.00 a piece.

Startech products are ridiculously expensive and I've done nothing but give people other options when they PM me for purchase. I personally could not see spending that much money on a part, but i'm also not as financially fortunate as a lot of people.

Everyone is an adult in this community and if they want to spend their money on genuine parts with a backed name instead of some home made fiberglass special then so be it.

I have access to reduced prices through CTD and am merely passing the savings onto the community. I have zero desire to stock these parts.

Modulator, I'm really not quite sure I see your point. If you can't afford it or choose not to spend your money on it that is your choice. Do you email Renntech and tell them the same thing?
