ignition gets stuck

Default ignition gets stuck

hello! ive been having a problem, when i put my key into the ignition sometimes it wont turn. anyone else had this problem?! it would just happen every once in awhile but i just spent 15 minutes trying to crank my car with no results. its like the car isnt recognizing my key and wont allow it to turn! i tried both keys which both have new batteries, i just dont get it!

This discussion has been in many other threads.
Some prove to be real problems with the ignition and some are simply the steering wheel is pulling against the locking mechanism preventing the key from freely turning.

Dealership has my car now. I should get it back about $750 lighter in the wallet. The ignition cylinder and a part in the column needed to be replaced. The worst part of that is the labor though. The entire dash has to come apart to change these out. Not an easy fix.
