Default Reinstalling C-R-O-S-S-F-I-R-E Badging On Rear

So I bought my Crossfire Limited Coupe about 2 years ago with about 10K on it and I saw how some of the Crossfires had the word "Crossfire" evenly spaced out across the trunk, under the wing. So I thought to myself "They must have only done this on the SRT-6 Model". But then I saw another forum member with it on his Coupe and I stupidly asked him how he obtained the lettering and how he installed it. I think I definitely confused him (Sorry!) but eventually we sorted it out.

I guess Long Story/Short is that the previous owner debadged the Crossfire lettering and I want it back. Is this something the dealership has to do or maybe they can't and do I need to buy the letters from salvage and have a body shop do it? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You can buy the set at the dealer. They come attached to a strip of tape pre-positioned so all you have to do is stick them on as they have 3M tape adhesive. Here's a picture of how it comes from the dealer.

Well it sold on e-bay for about $30,. I'm sure it's more at the dealer.

I know some prefer debadging their cars as a matter of personal preference, but I like the way the lettering looks. I can't blame you for wanting to put it back on.

With all the debadging post, I've wondered how long before someone started a rebadging thread. I like the letters also.

Oh for sure. I'm gonna try and sweet talk the dealership. They have this $125 car detailing thing they push every time you do anything with them. I'm gonna tell them that I'll pay for the badging and the detailing but they have to do the labor on the re-badging for free. The car needs a good detailing and I'd rather have someone to yell at it if comes out crooked...besides myself.

Actually I think you will find it quite an easy do it yourself - the cardboard form that the letters are semi-attached to is cut to line up with the hatch edges of the XF - just line up the edges of the cardboard holder/spacer and press down on the lettering, then removed the cardboard from the top of the letters.

I want to re-badge mine, too. The previous owner of the SRT6 took off both. Even buying online I'm looking at almost $100 for the letters and the badge. I'll get them eventually, but this year was brakes, rotors, fixing the door and filling the license plate holes in the front bumper, plus a bra. Next year: re-badging and K&Ns.

I got the opposite problem, too many SRT6 Badges of every form, also an extra set of letters & I just sold 1 New set of K&Ns & 1 set with 15 miles on it. (The 2006 I just bought had too much of everything included )
The letters I'm keeping in case I lose one like I did on Fox I & the Badges I'll bring to the Flea Mkt at the Fall Dragon, when I decide which ones I'm not keeping.

If a letter fell off, what do you use to reattach it? The 3M tape I have seen seems a little thick to put on the back and reattach it with- My (I) letter fell off and I hate the way it looks with a letter missing - Any recommendations?

Most any parts store should have some 3M emblem adhesive in a tube. That should take care of it for you.
