Default Power Window Problem

When using the auto down function on the power windows, they sometimes go down just like they should and other times they start down and stop part way. If you push the power window button again they start down and stop and this continues untill you manually put the windows down all the way. I can't find any common reason for the next occurance, one time they go down just fine and whenever they act up. Help keep me away from the dealership service dept., please tell me how to fix them.

Is it just the drivers side or passenger side as well? If its just the drivers side its probably just the switch.

It's both windows. I'm starting to think it's in the control module located in the engine compartment.

Before ya get too crazy, try re syncing them.
Press and hold the button in the down position until the window reaches the bottom.Continue to hold the switch a few seconds after the window has reached the full open position. Do the same for the closed, close it completely and hold the switch a few seconds once the window is completely closed.

I didn't know you could "re-sync" the windows. I'll try it and let you know if it works this PM. Thanks.
