Hello everyone, I knew there had to be a site for this cars owners..... I've been reading thru your different posts and am very grateful for the education! We've just bought an 06' coupe, the charcoal grey w/lther ltd. and will fly up to NC on the 11th to pick it up and drive it home. Little over 13k mi and a stick. Dealer sent me a Carfax and of course the normal internet pics.....refundable deposit if I'm not happy with the car. Any suggestions on what I should check out while I test drive it? Thanks in advance for any help !

 

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! My recommendation is to make sure your health insurance covers a commom affliction that Crossfire owners have called "perma-grin". Once you test drive and take it home, you will have perma-grin! Enjoy that new ride!

 

Welcome to the forum! Check the 1-2 shift for ease of shift. Window rattle over bumps. Rear hatch rattle. Window closing against upper door rubber, wind noise at speed.Headlight delamination,fog light button
That is pretty much it. All easily fixed by dealer.

Welcome and congrats. Suggest you do a check on your local (surroung area) Chrysler dealers for quality of service and mechanics. My local dealership just cracked my oil pan with their Specially trained Crossfire mechanic. You are essentially buying a Mercedes I'm sure you know

I flew to NC from FL 3 years ago to get my first Ltd XF & drove it to Fla.

Then last year, I drove from NC to Fla to trade it for a SRT6 & bring it back to NC.

Since then I've bought two more SRT6s, so it can become addicting, beware! (Perma-Grin is Not the only Affliction the car causes.)

I definately do the same thing.... is that bad? hahahaha. though, i have noticed me doing it less and less as gas prices go up and up... meh.

 

Its almost as bad as the amount of cleaning I do on the car. I believe in a clean car but ....... I'm out of control.

 

errr....crap. once again i'm right there with you. wash and wax once a week...sometimes only wax every other week haha. but i specificaly get up at 7am on saturday mornings to go wash the car, because y time 10am rolls around here in Houston, it's hit 90+ degrees. so I wash it early in the morning.
