Engine Flutter while at a stop
So I've noticed the last few days that my car, while sitting at a stop, will flutter. It feels like it's running out of gas or something. Then it'll hit a steady idle again and be ok. Sometimes it happens in succession, sometimes once in a long while, but I have no idea what it could be. Can anyone help me out here? Anyone else experience this?

No mods, the car is pretty much completely stock except for a new set of tires I just put on and some K&N airfilters I put in a long time ago. Not the cone ones though, just the normal ones that fit into the normal airbox.
I did try to pull the engine cover off to take a peek at the engine a little while ago though, and once I realized that the intake was connected to it, I didn't go any further. I pushed it back on though, and I can't see how this would affect anything.
Interesting. Well I'm glad that at least I'm not the only one experiencing it.
On another side note, I've never put the lower grade gas in it, as much as I'd love to, with premium hitting 4.69 here, UGH! Get ready for $5 a gallon everybody.
The car is an '04 with around 43,500 miles.

This seems to be a common problem with this car. Several folks on past threads have expressed the same concerns. I have had the same exprience with my 04. I have since started adding injector cleaner to my tank after each and every oil change and seems to me it doesn't happen near as often or as intense. Mine never felt like it was gonna stall but the occasional flutter was a definate concern.

Hey my 04 did this the other day for the first time. It shut off on me while stopped at a stop light and air conditioning on. it normally idles like at 300 rpm for cripe sakes and when I went to take off at the stop light I noticed the car had stalled. WTF???!!! Didn't do it again though.
this is happening everywhere. i think we have a serious problem here! http://www.chryslerforum.com/m_19029/tm.htm
