Introduce Myself
Hi Everyone,
I just bought a Crossfire yesterday and was searching for a owner forum and I struck gold. As luck would have it I got my Crossfire just moments before giving up on car shopping for a while. I spent the entire day scouring the car lots in Puyallup, Tacoma, Fife, etc ( I live in Washington by the way) for cars I found online and after disappoint after disappoint I was getting pretty tired. Then, shuffling through my book of printed car classifieds I found I missed one because it was out of my way in North Seattle. Driving from Auto Row in Puyallup to North Seattle I kept my hopes up and called the dealer to make sure they still had it. I was assured it was on the lot and ready to be test driven, so I spent the hour driving up to check it out. When I finally pull up I walk the lot quick, looking for the car and don't see it, so I go inside. Instantly I'm jumped on by 4 salesmen and a manager, but when I ask where the Crossfire is, all but the manager walk away. Without saying anything to me the manager whips out his cell phone and speed dials someone. In the middle of the showroom he screams "Where is the Crossfire?!?! Bellevue??? Why is it there!? Get it here now!" He then hangs up to explain to me that another salesman on their other lot took it to Bellevue. Mad as hell that I drove all the way up under the assurance the car was waiting for me I storm off to my car and slam the door. The manager runs up behind me and pleads me to stay, promising me it would only be a few minutes wait. So I wait, with my key in the ignition, giving him only 15 minutes. As the last seconds of that 15 minutes begin to expire, I twist the key and start the engine. Right then, a beautiful blue Crossfire comes flying onto the lot. I was relieved and annoyed all at the same time. I cut the engine and get out to inspect what just blurred by me. It was an 05 with 5000 miles on it, I was expecting it to be thrashed and walking away again disappointed. Instead the car is in perfect condition. No scratches, dings, wear, nothing. Amazing for any car for sale over 3 years old. On top of that it was a fully loaded Limited for less than the baseline model with more miles I found earlier in the day. I drove it, carfaxed it, inspected it one more time and bought it. Beautiful car, love everything about it so far and can completely understand the excitement it creates. This is my first car that I have purchased as a college grad gift to myself and I couldn't be happier. From what I've seen so far this is the place to go for questions/guides/discussion so I'm sure you will all see me around. Thanks in advance for your patience and help (been a noob sucks).

Aero Blue - the BEST color
I understand your enthusiasm... I have only had my Crossfire for about two weeks and have hardly slept!
Welcome to the forum, If you are like the rest of us - you will go out and drive - just for the joy of the ride, even with the price of gas. Think you will enjoy the forum, can spend a ton of time here, hope you enjoy us almost as much as the car!
Welcome, I'm also a newbie. Well, it's been about 1 month I guess. So far I have found this forum to be so helpfull. I did have some mechanical problems in the 1st few weeks of ownership, but the forum responded quickly to my questions and gave me direction in terms of possible fixes. I found it saved me alot of time and frustration. The people on this forum are curtious, respectful and most of all interesting. I enjoy sharing this common thread, I mean addiction with those that can relate to things like me standing in my driveway at midnight staring at my car. Again, welcome.. I know you will find these folks as
helpfull as I have.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your purchase. I bought my 2005 Roadster with 6000 miles on it and it is flawless. You're going to love your Crossfire. They are fast, fun to drive, and great on gas. What more could you ask for.
