Obama tells the Germans that the cars in Boston are causing the droughts in Kansas.....I live in Kansas...this has been one of the wettest years I can ever remember.....my lawn is still green & it's almost August....my yard should be totally brown by now??? We haven't had hardly any >100F days in the last 20 years....when I was a kid back in the 50s & 60s they were common!!! In 1954 it got up to 109F in KC. This has been the most perfect growing season I can ever remember.....I've got vegetables coming out my ***!!! I've already given away about 200lbs of stuff from a small 2500 sq ft garden.....

I'm thinking about inventing a new spark plug....generates a Higgs Field.....converts matter to energy...almost 100% efficient.....anyone want to invest? Checks & cash accepted.

I heard on the Weather Channel today that this may shape up to be the "coolest" summer in decades and possibly on record. Thank God Al Gore saved us from that awful global warming thing.

You are, of course , quite right on this. And those on the right, along with his other detractors, do have fun with it.

Much like former President HW Bush who scolded the Congress and said "Read my lips, No new taxes" Only later was he forced to compromise and sign bills that did in fact raise taxes. He should have held ground, but didn't, and paid a political price for it.

We, of course, paid the taxes.
