Default Crashed/Salvaged Crossfires for Sale?

Does anyone know of a place or website that sells crashed/ruined/salvaged crossfires, possibly in the midwest? I want one without the trans/motor/rear-end/electronic systems, heck all I want is the body. I have an idea for a crossfire and wonder if it financially possible for next summer. Thanks

Zach

there are wrecks on eBay sometimes.
Finding a good body with no drivetrain is going to be difficult.
I haven't heard of anyone buying a crossfire just to take the drivetrain out and ditch the rest.

I bet you could find a theft recovery that has been taken to a chop-shop and stripped. That would probably be the best way to find one.

There was one on here in a thread that was PERFECT with no drive train. Probably a theft recovery. But they did a great job of not touching the body at all.

Good luck.

I lost mine to a flood last week. The insurance company has come and taken it away, but hasn't settled up with me yet. I can let you know what happens with the car... it will likely go to auction where you'd be able to get it cheap. It was a nice car... red 2004 with charcoal interior/auto trans, 54k miles. Let me know if you're interested... other than having been in 6 feet of muddy water, it's in perfect shape LOL.

in reality if you drained all fluid and let it sit for a week... the engine would be fine..most likely. since the engine wasnt running when it was flooded... you would probably have to rip up the entire interior though.... just to be careful of mold.

Nationwide told me that since the car had been flooded above dashboard level that they were automatically totalling it because of electrical issues. The last thing in the world I need is a problematic flood car. I have no interest in reviving the car personally, but if anyone in this forum would like it, I can get info to you as it comes to me. -Louie
