dealer maintenance, suggestions ?
Bought the coupe about a month ago from a dealer in Ohio. I do not have a garage so my ability to do even minor work is very limited since I live on a busy NYC street.
I am going to have to rely on the dealer to do maintenance work. I have no records of what if anything the previous owner did to the car as far as maintenance, so I have to assume nothing.
the car has the pickle juice stink which I learned from this forum has something to do with cabin air filtration. what else should I request to have changed, replaced or adjusted?
I know most cars have milestones when particular items like timing chains, serpentine belts, sensors and pumps need tending to.
What should I ask the service manager to check or replace? The car has 28K and the 8/80K extended warrenty. I do the oil myself

You should ask for an owner's manual (which will answer every one of your questions).....or download it from this forum. You would probably be better off finding a good mercedes garage for all maintenance (other than warranty work). I believe we have enough evidence to prove that 99% of the dealers are totally inept with this vehicle.
Good luck and welcome to a great forum. Hope to meet you in Carlisle next year....or even at the Dragon this fall.

you can ask for a print out(((((at the parts dept)))) not service and you will get every thing that you want,,,from color to build date to how many and where it was serviced ( as long as it was by chry dealer) you will get the warrenty info when it started ,when it stops and everything on the car that chry put on it and what it came with example msns= grille chrysler wing badge anddmms= 307 axle drive enjoy
Thanks for the response. I now have a place to start. I will get the warrenty history first and sort out the routine maintenance issues. I have been reading up on all the threads concerning CAI, manifolds, split cooling systems and pumps. I may have wasted my money on the extended warrenty I purchased.
thanks again,
