Aftermaket Radio
Re: Aftermaket Radio
I have a Kenwood flip up w/ touch screen, gps (garmin), dvd, and sirius. I had the speakers changed and put in an amplifier. Cost around $2200 including installation. The head unit was $800 that inc the nav. the rest of the $'s was the amp, speakers and built in Sirius. There is a plug in mounted on the side that hooks into the system to attach an mp3 or other aux.
I guess it has all the bells and whistles that I wanted at that time. lol
I agree w/ the next post about Garmin, plus you don't need to have the disc in for the nav, unlike my daughter's Pioneer.

His navigation is outdated, the new one from kenwood is actually a garmin unit, garmin maps, garmin interface, everyhting is garmin. (Which in my opinion is the best navigation out there..)
I picked up a refurbished one on craigslist for 600$.. navigation is an extra 300$ on ebay.. ipod hookup was 50$.
Not a bad deal.
