Tire Mileage
I presently have approximately 15K miles on my rear Continentals. They look to be good for only another 4-5K miles.
I'm not a hotdoger.
My Gen III Viper gets about 20K on the rear tires, but I was hoping that the Crossfire would do better.
Any comments?

I replaced my Conti SportContact Touring @ 16.5K. ~ 3mm left on the rears. And I don't beat it either. maybe the 1st owner?
Sure hope the Falken's do better!

I have the Michlens and I have around 9100 miles, don't spin the tires, drive like the almost old man I am and I bet they don't make it much past 11 or 12 k.

I have the original Contis on, and 23.3k miles on my car... the fronts look good, they rears a little worse, but they look ok for another 4-5k.
And pat, that is surprising. All of the Michelins I seen are pretty expensive...

i got just over 20k on my ps2's. i have almost that on my re760's, and they look new still. you'll have to give a little traction to gain tread life with a harder tire. my went well since i went wider so my traction is about the same as the ps2's.
just checked my old ps2s, kept them just in case, rears are hard find in stock..anyway, I still have 2/32nds left...so that could be another 5k+ so that would be 27K...I am an aggressive driver though...good luck...I know my new F1's won't last half that...
Yeah mika I don't get it. It would be one thing if I spun the tires a lot but I'm pretty conservative. I doubt seriously I'd get 15k out of the rears. Now my car was made in May of 04 and not delivered to me until July of 05. It sat on a lot for quite some time. The car had 300 miles on it when they brought it down to Maryland from PA. Only thing I can guess is that they were 300 hard miles? The wear is even across the tire so its not an alignment issue. And yes they are an expensive tire to replace but that will be next spring and summer's problem.

WOW...................
What a variation and, wouldn't you know, I'm at the low end of the curve.
What could be the possible causes for the differences, proper pressure?
I appreciate all the input; it's put things in a little different perspective.
Thanks....

I think it's acid rain, fried foods and corruption in state governmaent. Alabama, gotta' love it!
now there's the reason right there...hot dogger...yep, cause my front tire have twice the tread left as my back tires...but all wore very even, which impresses me...I have new F1 's to break in on the Dragon next week, but they are a summer tire, so it may get interesting if I can't keep them heated up...driving style, air pressure, are the 2 biggies...I'd say the contis are a 35k-40K tire under normal driving habits, but whats normal in an SRT....
