BeanBoy, sorry to read about your troubles. Sucks! Where is this meetNgreet thing in OC? Is it a weekly weekend thing down there? (down there for me, i'm up in Whittier) For XF's or all cars? Thanks! And good luck, insurance should cover it, but still sucks! Thanks.

That is a real good case as to NOT, drive in packs at speed!. Either take the lead, or follow at some distance. Eighteen wheelers, also kick up a lot of sand and gravel, let em run, as I am sure they dislike Klingon's more than the rest of us.

With that said, sorry to hear of your misfortune!

as a kid i never understood what those bras were for till now :P

the meet N greet is in lake forest, its called cars n coffee, its for all cars and because its in so cal you will see every luxurious, performance, rare car you have ever wanted to see. usually around 200-300 people attend , we get a few concept cars in there too, honda clarity/nissan 370z. not really concept but not for sale yet.

i repainted the grill and waxed it up aloottt it isnt that horrible anymore, it looks like my car has pox tho.

I bet if you check with the City, and tell them what happened, sometimes they will pay because the Freeway crews didn't leave it clean, done or NOT!

They were working on a bridge by our home and I used it each day to and from work, couldn't figure out why my windshield was getting tiny pits in it. It was because they were sand blasting the road, and people were throwing up the sand, and it pitted my window. They replace it for me.

Worth a try!

Good running in to you today, Beanboy. Sorry to hear about, and see, the damage to the front of your car. I had a similar encounter on the toll road a few months back during a nasty Santa Ana wind condition, but it looks like you came out worse than I did. Especially your grille (he painted it black, for those who don't know, and it took a real beating).

there is a special going on for a discount on all dealership items and the chrysler bra is around $126. i will have a clearbra installed and use that around town, but on long distance drives i plan to use the regular black bra because of all the construction and semi drivers.

That sucks!! Thats why I use the factory leather bra for going on trips. So far it has helped a lot.
Hope you get it fixed for free.

I have had a clear bra on the SSB since I bought it. I took it on a 3000 mile cruise this summer and it worked great. The only problems I had was where a couple small rocks landed further up the hood that the bra didnt covered. I cant afford having the whole hood done. Fortunately they are very small dings.

I recieved the kit late in the fall after the car was in storage, but it will be the first thing I use in the spring, it looks easy to apply and should do the job on the bottom of my front bumper where i have some stone chips.

It is a PITA to wash/wax with a bra but it prevents the pings to the bumper and hood. I just wax real well underneath it and take the bra off several times and year and vacuum the underside real well. I have bras on both my 2005s as well as my two Audis (sorry it was an Audi that did the original damage in the posting).

If you don't like the looks, then only put it on when you're driving on the highway as suggested. They only take a few minutes to put on or take off, but you can't take these bras off with one hand.
