I may have found an '05 coupe to buy. The price is very reasonable. It has 20k on the odometer, lists only 2 records from Carfax, and looks to be in decent shape. My only concern is that it is currently sitting on a used car lot. Any good sories to share about used car lots? Have you been happy with Crossfire purchases from them?

Thanks for sharing!

Do a two month subscribtion to "autocheck.com". I don't trust "carfax". Carfax reported "no frame damage" on my ride, "autocheck" reported frame damage. Long story, I posted it here somewhere, but I was able to locate the original owner who said that there was no frame damage, just damage to the drivers door, which he had fixed at a local shop, but Carfax said car had no previous body repair damage. I got my car from a small local lot about 20 miles from my house, found it on autotrader. Good luck!

Forgot to add, our cars don't have frames, how can you have frame damage if you don't have any frames. Hey, that sounds simialir to a line in a Pink Floyd song.

yeah man do what i did, buy a brand new 2008 with 50 miles on the clock and full factory plus lifetime powertrain limited coupe black with manual for $17,000 plus ttl. if i am not mistaken the factory warranty 3/36 does not transfer past 2 i think the powertrain does but on the 05 i think it is on 7 year.

I bought the Coupe from a small dealer about 300 miles away w/ 22K on the odometer sight unseen. The car was in great shape, the only issue was a small wear mark on the drivers seat, left side. After giving it a good test drive, away it went with me behind the wheel.
The SRT came from a reasonably large dealer about 100 miles away from home.
No problems with either car nor any problems with either dealer. In fact. the SRT dealer was a pleasure to deal with: helpful & knowledgable.
To this day the Coupe, with nearly 40K additional miles on it, has not had a single thing go wrong & the SRT has only had issues with the CD head, twice replaced under warranty.

Although I found mine on a car lot, it was the used car section of a Chrylser/Plymouth dealer ... so perhaps my experience (which has been favorable) isn't what you're looking to hear about ...
