One last question about these... please
I still have not found what the purpose of these buttons(?) are for in the rear cargo hatch area. I looked at a factory cargo cover on a Crossfire during the Dragon and they are NOT used for that. Does anyone know for sure... pics?... Just curious.

James I'm not sure, but I thought somebody once posted that the Crossfires luggage is made to fasten to them in some way.
I've never unpacked my luggage from it's original wrapper, so I don't know if its true or not.

I thought these were for the cargo area security cover, as that is the area it seems to attach to according to the pictures I have seen, but I guess not. I wanted one but at $250+ each, I hesitated and thought some more. It is not much more than an old type roll up window blind, you know the ones that went up with no warning and made you jump out your skin. You could make one if you felt like it, but I have not seen one of those for years.

James, the crossfire luggage comes with straps that hook to the luggage and those "buttons" perfectly. Whether that was what they were designed for or not, I don't know. But they definitely keep the luggage from sliding around if you don't have the trunk area fully loaded.
The buttons look similar to the bottom of the carpet floor mats that lock in.
In case anyone missed it last time, here is what I did with mine.

They do seem high priced but if you carry stuff back there it could save you some money. With the flap closed it looks like a solid deck. Most people wouldn't know that it wasn't. Might just keep some nimrod from removing your rear window to get at what's back there.

Perhaps for plastic shopping bags. A lot of mini vans use very similar hooks for holding up shopping bags to keep them from spilling. The handles of the bag are simply looped over the hook/peg.
